December 3 – 31, 2012 – Canessa Gallery – 708 Montgomery @ Washington
Canessa Gallery was built on the remains abandoned vessels left in the wake of the Gold Rush. This installation re-creates the ambiance of those ghost boats, with sails flapping and fishing lures cast on currents. There are eight turning panels with a quote by T. S. Eliot. “The imaginary burglar is always provided with a bit of nice meat for the house-dog so the burglar can go about his business.”
Such a business, installation art.
